Please be sure to have at least two choices as a back up in case the Christmas piece is already taken. Melody Piano Welcomes New Staff Member Samantha Chouinard
I would like to give a big warm welcome to Samantha Chouinard. She is the newest member to the Melody Piano team. Sam has been training under me for two years now. She will be training with me to help teach my younger students, and help with Melody Piano's Administrative end.

Melody Piano enrolls another new student!
I am so glad to announce that I have taken on yet another student for Summer session. Adult Kirsten Guenther had her first lesson today. She is very intuitive, and very open to everything. It went great! I am very exited to welcome Kirsten to the studio!

Melody Piano Student Reaches 10 Star
Congratulations to Noah Martin! He is the second student to reach his 10 Star since this incentive program was implemented. This just goes to show that hard work really does pay off. I look forward to see who will reach their 10 star next. Many students are getting very close!

I am very exited to say that I will be taking on a new adult student on Monday. Amy is a wonderful musician. She is a singer/songwriter that plays the guitar by ear. What an amazing talent! Welcome to the studio Amy! I look forward to contributing to your musicianship!

MDML formal induction
I have been a member of the MDML since February. I recieved my formal induction on Monday, May 17th to the Metropolitan Detroit Musicians League from new board director, Nataliya Kruglic. I am so glad to be a part of this wonderful organization!

Melody Piano Proudly Supports the ASPCA
I may have a soft spot for animals. Yet, I think that it is important to make sure that we take care of them; As much as we can. There are times where a very bad situation can happen that we may not be aware of. I am not one to "throw money away". I (like many of us) can't afford to give tithes this much! LOL. What I can do; Spend a couple of hours to research; see a good, solid orginization doing what is right for the ones that we do not have time to do. ASPCA is on the top of my list for these types that need it. And I am GLAD to help as much as I can.

Instructor Conference on Monday
Just a reminder that I will not be taking students Monday, April 26th during the day time. I will be in conferences all morning through the afternoon. Lessons will commence at 4:00pm and resume as usuall for the evening students. I am exited to come back to the studio with new insights!

Student Graduates level 2B!
Congratulations to Melody Piano Student Samantha Chuinard (age 13). Today she has graduated from level 2B! She has passed all requirements out of the Michigan Music Teachers Association's guidelines. She will now be advancing to level 3A in Alfred's Basic Piano Library Repertoire. Sam has showed much determination and commitment. I am very proud to say that she is one of my students!

Melody Piano Student Birthday!
Happy Birthday to Melody Piano Student Hope Szymanski! She turns 12 years old on Sunday, April 18th. Hope has been a delight to teach. One of the most insightful students I have ever had. She has the determination to succeed in anything that she puts her mind to. Hope is now studying in "Alfred's Library repertoire". I am proud to say that as of last month, I promoted her two levels above the standard for her age. She has decided on a piece from "Phantom of the Opera" for her recital piece in October. Hope has already proved herself to be an accomplished musician!

What a wonderful gift! I recieved a gift from good friend and fellow colleage Meri Dolevski-Lewis this week. She sent me NUMEROUS repertoire materials from her studio!
